Internal Technician Tool 

A mobile app built for technicians to manage, document, and complete pest control services on-site

The Product

Digital Technician is a mobile app for service technicians to use while performing pest control treatments at customer homes. The app guides techs through a checklist of tasks, allows them to log notes, upload photos, and record chemicals used—ensuring accurate documentation and a consistent service experience. All data collected during the visit is compiled into a detailed service ticket that’s automatically sent to the customer after the appointment.

The Problem 

Without a clear system in place, important service steps can be missed or overlooked during a visit. Technicians also lacked visibility into the specific pest concerns shared by the customer during the sales process. This gap created inconsistencies in service and reduced customer confidence. There was also no easy way to show proof of service—leading to trust issues and support follow-ups.

The Goal

The goal was to create a clear, guided experience for technicians to ensure every step of the service is completed with consistency and accuracy. By surfacing customer-specific pest concerns, the app helps technicians deliver more personalized and effective treatments. And by compiling all service details into a customer-facing service ticket, the tool builds trust and transparency into every visit.

Design Approach

I joined the project mid-way and focused on improving the technician experience. I streamlined the service flow, updated the checklist design for clarity, and added features like customer concern visibility and clearer service ticket outputs—all to support consistency, ease of use, and trust.
